Oil – (Fast Food, Fried Food, Junk Food, Restaurant Food) Oil means pure liquid fat. There are no healthy oils or fats. Oils and fats should be avoided unless they are inside a whole food. Oils are extracted by using an explosive chemical called hexane which is obtained from refining crude oil. This applies to soybean, cottonseed, canola, corn germ, sunflower, safflower, peanuts, and flax. Olive oil can be extracted without hexane using a cold-pressing process.
Olive Oil – This is one of the healthiest oils but it is like comparing margarine to lard (animal fat) both of which should be avoided.
Processed Foods – (Butter & Margarine, Cheese, Dairy, Fruit Juice, Chips, Cookies)
Processed Vegan Foods – (Faux meat, cheese, dairy) Are mostly salt, fat, sugar, and empty calories. Healthier than non-vegan foods and should only be used when transitioning to a vegan diet. Eventually you should eat less processed vegan foods and more whole plant foods like beets, potatoes, carrots, apples, and oranges.
Refined Grains – (White Bread, Cereal, Crackers, Pasta)
Restaurant & Fast Food – Transport mechanism for salt, sugar, and fat into your body resulting in heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and early death.
