This is a list of natural products that I make and / or purchase.
Coconut oil smells like buttered popcorn. This smell is hardly noticeable after using for a few weeks. But I like the smell, it reminds me of popcorn.
Virgin coconut oil smells like coconuts and candy or a Mounds Bar. I don’t really like this smell because it reminds me of sugar and makes me hungry. Virgin coconut oil is supposed to be better for your body than the other though. I advise you not to eat it since it is pure saturated fat. Coconut Oil; You can put it on your body, but don’t put it in your body…
Natural Products
Soap, Body & Hair
Instead of making your own soap I recommend Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap Value Pack – Peppermint 32oz. (2 Pack) . Don’t use pure coconut oil to clean your genitals it can cause problems because it does not wash off it gets absorbed.
Conditioner
Apple Cider Vinegar – Detangler & Conditioner – Apply to scalp and ends of hair then after 60 seconds rinse thoroughly. Mix 1 TBSP Vinegar and 1 cup of water. You can add whatever essential oils you want. Works with plain vinegar too.
Lotion, body and face
Coconut oil – Apply to dry areas such as elbows, knees, and lips. I don’t use virgin because it smells like candy.
Deodorant
Coconut oil – Small amount on armpit should last 1/2 day to all day. Depending on how hot it gets.
Toothpaste
Credit: Homemade Toothpaste at naturallycheerful.blogspot.com
*3 tsp mint extract
2 tbsp baking soda
4 tbsp Virgin Coconut oil (It smells like candy but don’t eat it because it is pure saturated fat and very unhealthy.)
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp Xylitol
1/2 cup of Bentonite Clay dry
*use different extracts for different flavors. I recommend natural extracts not imitation ones. Vanilla or Mint are good extracts to use but you should not use citrus based extracts like orange or strawberry because they cause tooth decay.
If you would like to purchase a toothpaste I recommend Redmond Earthpaste – Natural Non-Flouride Toothpaste, Peppermint, 4 Ounce Tube .
House Hold Cleaner
Borax – Keep it away from children and pets. Borax is a salt and eating too much salt will cause death. Still don’t think it is safe? See “Borax Is It Safe” below.
Vinegar – Use it to clean the floors, counter tops, oven, bathroom, sink, toilet. It really is the best cleaner ever. It is also anti-bacterial.

Should last 6 months.
Borax Is It Safe?
Is Borax Safe? Yes. Here is why:
Borax is confused with Boric acid even in scientific studies. They are not the same thing.
It is also called sodium borate, sodium tetraborate, or disodium tetraborate.
It is composed of sodium (in table salt), boron (dietary supplement), oxygen (you breathe it) and water (you drink it).
Borax occurs naturally in evaporite deposits produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.
Borax is toxic in the same way that table salt and water are toxic.
Play-Doh which is non-toxic contains Borax. Kids eat Play-Doh all the time.
It does not cause cancer.
